Dear readers, writers and friends! Do you like winter? If not, then I will try to change your mind by sharing a few facts.
Firstly, according to scientists, cold winters have accelerated the evolution of humans and technology—our ancestors had to become smarter to survive. Secondly, it is winter that brings a special atmosphere to many of our favorite horror and fantasy books, stories and poems. Thirdly, we celebrate Christmas, New Year and Saint Valentine’s Day in winter. Much more can be added to this, but I would prefer just to say that one more good thing about winter is that it ends.
Awesome poetry and fiction are awesome both in winter and spring. The twelfth issue of “The Evening Universe” contains the best works submitted to us during the winter of 2023/24. We strongly believe that we have published works you don’t want to miss.
Happy reading!
Sincerely yours,
Maxim Sviridenkov,
founder and editor-in-chief of “The Evening Universe”
